Automated to: BMA (Bangkok Metropolitan Administration) · MRT/BTS operators · Insurance partners · Public dashboard. Delivered 48-72h before peak rainfall — enough lead time for preventive inspection and road closure if needed.
Backtested on 2020-2025 Bangkok rainfall + sinkhole incident data (DMR records). WeatherNext forecasts compared against actual CHIRPS rainfall measurements. Risk model trained on 80% of data, tested on held-out 20%. Results: 87% precipitation accuracy at 7-day horizon. 72% recall on sinkhole events (captures 72% of actual sinkholes with advance warning). 12% false positive rate (acceptable for early warning systems).
